The cardinal tetra is a freshwater fish of the characin family of order Characiformes. It is native to the upper Orinoco and Negro Rivers in South America.
They are a sensitive soul, so please pay attention to the water quality and living conditions. They love lots of plants but pace to swim. Happiest when able to shoal in a group of at least 6 and they get on very well with other peaceful fish, especially with neon tetras.
Feed them flake, daphnia and freeze dried blood worms.
